In March 2012, a demo DX3-3000S custom light was installed on an oilfield location near Lloydminster, AB. The custom unit has the solar panels, battery, and electronics mounted on small, portable skid. The light was mounted on a heavy oil tank using a custom mast. The solar light is rated for classified areas and illuminates the remote tank farm using free, sustainable energy on a location where electrification would be cost prohibitive.
